Aim
Wathnakpheap is a
non-political, non profit, non-sectarian Cambodian
organization that helps to promote children’s rights
across Cambodia as well as create opportunities for
disadvantaged children and their families by promoting
self-help initiatives.
History &
Philosophy
Wathnakhpeap has been
registered with the Cambodian Government as a local NGO
since 1997 and is committed to working with children and
youth at risk of being trafficked for labour or sexual
exploitation in three provinces around
Cambodia.
Through vocational training centres in
Pursat, Svay Rieng and Siem Reap Provinces, these young
people receive training in how to use locally-sourced
materials to produce handmade crafts and accessories for
sale within Cambodia.
