Vision
The Osmose goal is to create harmony between local communities and the core reserve area, and to facilitate both the conservation of the Tonle Sap environment and the sustainable livelihood of the floating villages' communities.
Mission
Osmose has built an integrated approach linking:
- Conservation: partnering with bird conservation and fisheries activists to observe and protect the colonies.
- Environmental Education (EE): educating more than 1,100 schooled and un-schooled children with indoor and outdoor classes throughout their school age since 2002.
- Ecotourisim (ET): creating the first environment respecting tourist activities on the lake back in 1999,
- Local Development (LD): instigating poverty reduction and livelihood improvement through schooling assistance, development of water hyacinth handicrafts, medical assistance through mobile clinics, implementation of floating gardens, water sanitation, and material assistance for emergency cases.

- To protect the bird sanctuary, which has been classified as the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997.
