History &
Philosophy
Homeland was established in 1997 to address the situation of children living on the streets of Battambang Town and has slowly and methodically established itself over the past seven years.
Children who live at the Homeland Center in Battambang are given the opportunity to learn vocational skills such as weaving, sewing and basket making, as well as apprenticeships in manufacturing car cushions and furniture, nail polishing, and traditional dancing. Homeland also manages two handicraft workshops for local women who have been affected by HIV/AIDS.
