  Cambodian NTFP Development Organization (CAN-DO)

Aim
Cambodian NTFP Development Organization (CAN-DO) is a local Cambodian non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to developing forest-based livelihoods in Ratanakiri Province through the integration of forest resources, conservation and economic development.

History & Philosophy
CAN-DO was established in June 2006 by a group of Cambodian development workers eager to preserve the non-timber forest products (NTFP) that are vital for the livelihoods of forest-based communities, such as the ‘Kreung’ minority tribe living in Ratanakiri Province.

CAN-DO aims to support groups of villagers to produce handicrafts using non-timber resources while preserving the traditional craft techniques passed down through generations.

Products
Indigenous textiles, handcrafted musical instruments, rattan and bamboo traditional baskets
